Short but Sweet Life

About Me

Hello friends! My name is Maria (Moore) Sorensen and this is my husband, Noah and our rescue, Ahsoka. I have been shooting photography casually for the past 5 years, and I finally feel ready to start sharing my passion. I specialize in pet and senior photography but especially in capturing memorable moments!

Senior photography is where it all started, taking pictures of my friends as they were graduating. Senior year, whether high school or college, is such an exciting time as young people embark on the next chapter of their lives. I love to be a part of helping young men and women feel more confident and special. Quickly after senior photography, I discovered the joy of pet photography. I have had a connection with animals my entire life. Our pets are only here a short time, but they leave such a lasting impact, and for that reason they deserve to be cherished! I can take any special occasion (engagement, holiday, maternity, etc.) and incorporate your pet into the shoot. I genuinely love working with people and animals to capture authentic moments that can be displayed for years to come.

Pro Bono Work

Pro bono work is very important to me, so I have partnered with Franklin County Animal Shelter to take pictures of pets up for adoption that need extra help. We adopted Ahsoka from the shelter and feel a calling to help others find the joy that Ahsoka has brought to us. Not only am I offering my time to help the animals, but you can also get a 10% discount on your photo shoot if you adopted from Franklin County Animal Shelter!

Ahsoka's Story

Franklin County Animal Shelter found Ahsoka’s litter in an abandoned trailer on some property rarely used by the owner. There were 5 dogs in the small trailer for 2-3 years. When found, the volunteers at the shelter assumed the dogs were a brownish/red color. After a much needed bath and some treatment, the volunteers quickly realized the dogs were blond and the color was from the intensive flea infestation. Despite all of her hardships, Ahsoka is still super sweet, obedient, and has the appetite of a horse! She has learned countless tricks including roll over and speak, and is super friendly to all other people and dogs. Come to Franklin County Animal Shelter and adopt you a new best friend today!
